Playa de Muro in the northeast of Palma de Mallorca is a very popular tourist spot given its length - at six kilometres, it is the longest on the island. It is also very close to two charming villages: Muro and Alcudia. Visit the four Playa de Muro Beach main areas
With its four distinct sections, Playa de Muro is in in fact four beaches in one. We recommend you visit each of them, as each has its own charm and reason to visit it:

Section 1. Known simply as Playa de Muro, and just 3 kilometres from the Port d'Alcúdia beach, it is a very popular area, with hotels and restaurants to suit all tastes.

Section 2. This area is a little quieter than Playa del Muro and also offers easy access and plenty of facilities.

Section 3 or Sa Comú. This is a more secluded and quiet beach, and requires walking a bit further to the facilities. It is part of the S'Albufera Natural Park and is a beautiful area, with outstanding sand dunes and pine forests.

Section 4. Las Casetes de Capellans: a small development of sandy streets that acts as a natural border between Muro and Can Picafort. The beach is 500 metres of fine sand with crystal clear water, right next to a pine forest, making it one of the most beautiful landscapes in the area.

Engage in a water sport or activity
Take advantage of the fact that the area is perfectly set up for practising any water sports you can think of (pedalos, kite surfing, wind surfing...). You're sure to find one that suits your level, taste and interest. Many of these can be enjoyed as a family.

Go and visit the village of Muro
Muro is located a little further inland, so it is a great opportunity to visit the other - rural and traditional - side of Mallorca. In particular, take a look at its old church and its beautiful buildings made of sandstone.

After enjoying time at Playa de Muro - for example, at sunset - you can visit the city of Alcúdia and soak up the culture and tradition of its completely walled historic centre, and the high-quality tourist activities at Port d'Alcúdia, just a kilometre away.
