La semana Santa se vive con mucha intensidad en Baleares. Las familias se concentran alrededor de la mesa, es tiempo de procesiones, de sacrificio y de culto a la fe católica.
Las procesiones inundan las calles de muchas localidades de las islas. En ellas podréis ver el silencioso desfile de los nazarenos exhibiendo con orgullo el paso de su iglesia.
Os recomendamos especialmente la del jueves y viernes Santo.
Si podéis, el viernes merece la pena desplazarse a Pollença (Mallorca) para asistir al espectacular ‘Davallament’ (descenso de la cruz). Es un momento que se vive con mucho respeto entre los pollencines. Palma, Artà, Sineu o Lluc podrían ser otras propuestas interesantes.
La procesión del Encuentro es otra de las más vistosas. Se celebra el Domingo de Pascua y recrea el encuentro entre Cristo resucitado y su madre.
Pero no todo es asistir a procesiones. La familia y la mesa tienen un peso muy importante en estas fechas. ¡Hasta la gastronomía es especial en esta época del año!
Las panades, los crespells y los robiols son los verdaderos protagonistas de estas reuniones. Las panades son una especie de pastel individual salado relleno de guisantes, carne, panceta y sobrasada, mientras que los robiols son una especie de empanadilla horneada rellena de cabello de ángel, mermelada o requesón.
Los crespells también son también un reclamo estos días. Se elaboran con la misma masa que los robiols, y son unas galletitas de formas divertidas que están deliciosas.
Así que si estáis pasando la Semana Santa cerca de nosotros, no podemos hacer más que desearos que la disfrutéis mucho.

Panades, crespells and robiols are the true protagonists of these meetings. Panades are a kind of individual pie savory filled with peas, meat, bacon and sobrasada, while robiols are kind of baked rissole filled with cabello de ángel, jamorcottage cheese.
Crespells are alsoalsoimportant these days. They are made with the same mass as therobiols, and they’re a funny delicious cookies.
