Seguramente ya habías visto esta playa, aunque no lo sepas. Si has buscado en internet playas de Menorca, muy probablemente te ha salido porque es una playa muy popular. Su entorno es mágico…arena blanca, mucha vegetación y agua cristalina que convierten a Cala Macarella en una postal de las más demandadas.
Para llegar a este pequeño paraíso solamente tienes que tomar el Camí de Sant Joan de Missa desde Ciutadella y seguir los carteles que se ven en la carretera. El trayecto desde Ciutadella hasta Macarella es de aproximadamente 20 minutos en coche. Para aparcar hay dos zonas, el primer parking que es gratuito y hay que caminar 15 minutos más para llegar a la playa o el segundo que es de pago que está solo 5 minutos de Cala Macarella.
En la playa hay un chiringuito, pero tiene un inconveniente, suele haber mucha gente en verano. Es una cala preciosa pero es tan popular que se ha masificado un poco y por eso os recomendamos ir temprano o caminar 5 minutos más y llegar a Cala Macarelleta, otro espectáculo de la naturaleza.

Its setting is magical... white sand, lush vegetation and clear water that make Cala Macarella one of the most popular postcards in the island.
To reach this little paradise you just have to take the Camí de Sant Joan de Missa from Ciutadella and follow the signs you see on the road. The drive from Ciutadella to Macarella is approximately 20 minutes. To park there are two areas, the first parking which is free and you have to walk 15 minutes to get to the beach or the second, a payment one, located only 5 minutes away from Cala Macarella.
There is a bar on the beach, but it has an inconvenient: there usually are many people in summertime. It is a beautiful cove but it is so popular that it has amassed a bit. For this reason, we recommend going early in the morning, or walk 5 minutes and reach Cala Macarelleta, another nature spectacle.
