Now more than ever we need to show solidarity as a society in order to return to normality, but based on greater awareness; based on the importance of those hugs and the proximity to our friends that right now we miss so much.

At Hotels VIVA we’re striving to offer you nothing less than the best once all this comes to an end. We’re confident that we’ll provide a meeting point for families and friends who now value sharing and all the little details more than ever.

If holidays on Mallorca figured among your plans for the months ahead, we recommend that you postpone, rather than cancel, your stay at any of our establishments. At Hotels VIVA we’ll help you with everything you need, because our priority is to furnish you with the most special moments and we’ll continue striving to make this possible.

Since we know that the sun will re-emerge from the clouds very soon, especially over Mallorca, we want to remind you of all the reasons that prompted you to select this marvellous holiday destination in the first place, and why it makes sense to postpone your trip to Mallorca:

You’ll love its beaches and coves

Drenched in unspoilt nature, Mallorca boasts more than 300 coves with crystal-clear water and white sands, flanked by cliffs and vegetation in an almost virgin state. There’s undoubtedly a beach or cove to suit every taste and this is what we love about Mallorca. We must however acknowledge that among our own favourites, and the most popular with our guests, are:

  • Cala Mesquida
  • Playa de Formentor
  • Playa de Port de Pollensa
  • Port d’Alcúdia
  • Cala Millor
  • Cala Deià
  • Playa de Muro

The metropolitan charm of Palma de Mallorca

Mallorca has it all, and if it’s sampling the nightlife and metropolitan charms of Palma de Mallorca that you’re after, you’ll find a treasure trove of cultural heritage. Palma Cathedral is one of the tallest Gothic cathedrals in Europe. You’ll also find the Almudaina royal palace is an unmissable centre of attraction. In the old town and along the sea front you’ll find a host of bars, terraces and restaurants, where you’ll be able to sample mouth-watering Mallorcan cuisine with such delicious dishes as:

  • Sobrasada sausages
  • Frito Mallorquín, a classic Mallorcan dish of stir-fried meat and vegetables
  • Coca de Trampó (thin, crispy bread topped with vegetables)
  • Robiols de cabello de angel (sweet pastries filled with pumpkin jam)

And if you’re a wine-lover, you should know that Mallorca has its own official Denomination of Origin and a host of wine tourism activities to go with it. You’ll be able to enjoy a wide range of tastings and bodegas where the local manto negro grape variety plays a starring role, serving as the basis for the majority of red wines.

Visit Mallorca’s prettiest villages

Your stay on Mallorca would not be the same without making a pilgrimage to the island’s most picturesque and historic towns and villages. You can also take the old wooden railway that runs from Palma, crossing the Sierra de Alfabia, with incredible vistas along the route before reaching Sóller, one of the most popular towns.

Nor should you miss the chance of visiting such settlements as:

  • Capdepera
  • Pollença
  • Alcúdia
  • Valldemossa
  • Fornalutx

Home of adventure sports

If you’re a sports-lover, Mallorca is the perfect place for you. As well as boasting an idyllic year-round climate, it is a favourite destination for cyclists and hikers from all over the world. Mallorca is ideal for cycle touring, featuring a wide variety of cycle routes suited to all levels of ability. While keeping fit you’ll also be able to soak up stunning views of Mallorca’s coastline and mountain ranges.

With its numerous golf courses and tennis courts, in addition to its wide variety of cycling and hiking options, Mallorca makes an ideal meeting point for sports aficionados suited to all tastes, ages and levels of expertise.

At Hotels VIVA we continue to be committed to local tourism, striving to the utmost to show our guests the marvels of Mallorca and the reasons for coming back. Get in touch and we will help you organise your next holidays or postpone your stay until after the current situation has passed!
