You can find plenty of wonderful markets on Mallorca. They take place throughout the year in different parts of the island and visitors can see the local crafts and gastronomy firsthand. They’re ideal places to learn more about the island's culture and find some very original items.

In the beautiful town of Artà, in the Plaça del Conqueridor, you’ll find one of the most popular markets in Mallorca, boasting a huge number of stalls. In the covered section of the market, you’ll find fresh food stalls, and outside you can buy live animals such as rabbits or pigeons. This market is open every day from 9:00h to 13:00h. To buy handicrafts in the area, you should go to the Batlessa del Municipio gardens, where you’ll find some great stalls.
This is a very old market, and is held every Wednesday from 8:00h to 13:00h in the Plaça des Mercat. Among its 150 stalls, you’ll find live animals, fresh food, clothes, charcuterie, spices, leather goods, perfumery, drugstore, flowers and plants, and much more. It’s undoubtedly one of the most varied markets on the island.
One of the few Sunday markets in Mallorca, the Pollença market only opens on this day, and from 8:00h to 13:30h. Located in the centre of the town of Pollença, between Plaça Major and Plaça de Ca les Monnares, you’ll find more than 300 stalls with a huge variety of products: handicrafts, local food, clothes and much more. There’s another market held in Pollença port, but this time on Wednesdays. This market has been held for more than 30 years and is only open in the morning.
The L’Olivar market in Mallorca is one of the oldest markets on the island, and has been going since 1951. You’ll find it in the Plaza del Olivar, in the centre of Palma; it’s one of the most popular markets in Mallorca, and offers a huge variety of fresh produce. The Mercat de l'Olivar has its own car park and is open from Monday to Saturday from 07:00h to 14:30h.
This market in Mallorca is open every Sunday of the year and is held in the Plaza Mayor in the town of Consell. It boasts more than 300 stalls on which you’ll find a wide variety of second-hand items, antiques and handicrafts made by local artists.
Alcudia Market
If you love wandering around endless stalls, then the Alcudia Market is the place for you. It’s located in the centre of the town, on Paseo Mare de Déu de la Victòria and is held on Tuesdays and Sundays from 08:00 to 13:30h.
Here you’ll find all sorts of products like juicy seasonal fruit, locally-produced items such as cheese, oil, wine, and even textiles!
The best thing? Admission is free!
Inca Market
Another great market that you shouldn’t miss on Mallorca is the Inca Market, which is held every Thursday from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm in the pedestrian area of the town and on Gran Vía Colón. It’s also one of the largest and most visited markets in the centre of Mallorca.
Parking won’t be a problem as there are spacious parking areas and if you go on public transport it’ll be even easier.
Manacor Market
The Manacor Market runs through the central streets of the town, from the Mare de Déu del Dolors church right through to the Plaza Ramón Llull, and takes place every Monday from 8:00 to 13:30h. Like the rest, it has hundreds of food stalls, where you’ll find the best cheeses and cold meats, as well as textile stalls.
