Cuisine
For sweets and ensaimada pastries, you mustn’t miss Can Joan de S’Aigo, an all-time favourite. For a city break with a tapas tour through the local markets in the capital, Palma, some of the best-known sites are the Mercat de l’Olivar, the Mercat de Santa Catalina and the Pere Garau market. If you’re looking to sample a Michelin star-rated menu, our favourite is without a doubt Andreu Genestra’s restaurant at the Predi Son Jaumell Hotel Rural.
Water sports
These range from dinghy sailing to kitesurfing in the Bahía de Pollença, snorkelling anywhere around the island, paddle surfing or kayaking. The island offers places to rent equipment in almost all locations.

Cultural visits
Majorca hosts various outdoor music festivals every year, one of the most famous being the top-notch Sa Pobla Jazz Festival and another being the Majorca Live Festival. If you’re looking for a day trip, you shouldn’t miss the Sa Bassa Blanca Museum (the Yannick and Ben Jakober Foundation) or the island's native plants in the Jardines Joan y Torre Desbrull in Pollença.
