Towns in the north of Mallorca

Pollença
Located in the most northern part of Mallorca, Pollença is a stunning, medieval town. It’s home to emblematic locations such as El Calvari, with a staircase with 365 stairs, the Puente Romano (Roman Bridge - although it was actually built in the 15th century), or the Plaza Mayor.
As well as its cultural heritage, you can also admire and enjoy one of the island’s most incredible natural spots from Pollensa: Cap de Formentor, with genuine, dreamlike cliffs.
Alcudia
When visiting Alcudia, you’ll be able to enjoy two very different views of the island, both of which are just as fascinating. The living tradition and history breathed in the walled area of the town dates back to the 14th century and the modernity and luxury of the Port of Alcudia, just 2km away, with its long, idyllic beach.

Capdepera
The most eastern part of Mallorca is home to the historic town of Capdepera, where you’ll find many settlements which date back to the Bronze Age. Since ancient times, the village was ordered to be built by King James II, around 1300 AD. The initial idea was to create a very safe, fortified town, located inside the top of the mountain, where it would be protected from pirates and other invaders who arrived by sea. The village gradually expanded and today, the original 14th century fortress, the Castell de Capdepera, is very well preserved and a must-see for history lovers.
There are some exceptional tourist areas near the town, such as Cala Ratjada or Cala Mesquida, a paradise for surf lovers.

Muro
