Located in the public estate of Esporles, this is a very special place to spend the day with the family, especially if you have children, as it’s a very quiet area with a large park for the kids. It also has a barbecue area with tables, chemical toilets, and a large car park. It’s an easily accessible area, and nearby you can visit Sa Font de Dalt which has a viewpoint where you can see the whole village of Esporles.
Just 15 minutes from the road along a cobbled path you can access this site located in the municipality of Pollença. From here, you can visit beautiful places such as the Monastery and the Hermitage, which date back to the 14th century, and enjoy their incredible views. Puig de Maria is one of the best-equipped picnic sites in Mallorca with toilets, tables, benches, firewood, and charcoal for sale, along with a bar and accommodation in case you want to stay the night.
Just 10 kilometres from Palma, in the direction of Santa Maria, you’ll find this great place to enjoy a picnic with the whole family. Merendero Caubet is one of the best-known areas for picnics in Mallorca, located right in the heart of nature. It has its own car park, although it isn’t adapted for people with reduced mobility or prams.
Located on the top of a hill, and surrounded by the Hermitage of Nostra Senyora de la Consolació de Sant Joan, we find one of the most special places in Mallorca. It’s a perfect place for children, with a play area and a playground for the little ones to have fun while the adults enjoy a quiet day outdoors.
Located between Ca S'Amitger and Fontcuberta, this is a very large area, with two camping areas, two children's play areas and a large area for campfires with tables and benches to enjoy a good picnic.
There you’ll also find the Monte del Rosario or "Pujol dels misteris", which is an ideal place for a short walk after lunch. You can also visit the basilica and sanctuary of Lluc, which has accommodation if you decide to spend the night in the area. It’s one of the most popular places, as the people in charge of the Monastery of Lluc usually hand out firewood to visitors. The site also has drinking water.
In the municipality of Santanyí, you’ll find this park which is surrounded by white sandy coves and transparent waters. In 1992, it was declared a National Park, and has several routes for hiking lovers that go from one end to the other. During the walks you’ll be able to see the pine and wild olive forests, the coastal areas, and even the freshwater pond of S' Amarador.
Within the Mondragó Natural Park, you’ll find two areas for picnicking and eating, which include benches, tables, toilets, and play areas for children. However, we recommend that you bring drinking water with you as the park doesn’t have access to any.
Near Palma, in the commune of Bunyola, Cas Garrier has 10 recreational areas with their respective tables and benches. Although it doesn’t have a playground, it has plenty of space for children to run around and have fun.
These are some of the best places to enjoy a picnic in Mallorca and spend great times with your partner, family, or friends. It’s important to know that from the 1st of May until the 15th of October, it’s forbidden to light fires on the island in order to prevent potential fires, but this won’t prevent us from enjoying a beautiful day enjoying nature.
