Mallorca is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the whole of Spain for having a wonderful holiday, which is also why many people consider it to be the best place in the world to live. It’s a combination of nature, idyllic beaches, tradition and culture, as well as a host of fun-filled activities you can do there.
Without doubt, Alcudia is one of the most charming and picturesque towns on the island. Located to the north of Majorca, it boasts some stunning beaches that, together with the natural marvels of the landscape and its beautiful old town, make it one of Majorca’s must-see destinations.
Formerly, the city of Alcudia was the capital of the Balearic region in the era when the Roman Empire was expanding and consequently its historical and cultural heritage provides a rich source of attraction for visitors.
Alcudia is ringed by a mediaeval wall, construction of which began in 1298 and finished 64 years later.
The wall’s three entrances have been preserved and visitors are able to ascend to its upper level.
The neo-gothic San Jaime church is located inside the wall and constitutes another point of interest. Simply strolling through the old town and exploring its narrow streets is a gratifying experience in itself.
Alcudia beach is famous throughout Spain for its indescribable beauty, stretching over seven kilometres in length with its pure, crystal-clear waters.
The water is so clear and the state of the beach so pristine that this spectacular landscape has repeatedly received the EU’s Blue Flag award, something that is only granted to the finest beaches complying with a series of strict requirements related to the conservation of the environment.
What’s more the waves here tend to be relatively gentle, which means that the beach is also ideal for sharing good times with the youngest members of the family; and in case something untoward should happen, there are always various lifeguards patrolling the beach to prevent accidents.
L’Albufera Natural Park is one of the less well-known marvels Majorca has to offer. Apart from the incredible sunsets on display in the evenings it is also one of the island’s best places for watching birds. If you have the fortune of visiting during migration season, you’ll be able to witness enormous flocks of birds moving across the sky in search of friendlier climes.
The Natural Park is also one of the best places for getting a little bit closer to the flora and fauna to be found in the region.
If you’re a golf devotee and you fancy a round with friends, you can go to the Alcanada Golf Club and enjoy its lush 18-hole course, located just 10 minutes away from our Vanity Golf Adults Only 18+ hotel.

If you’re someone who revels in nightlife, we unhesitatingly recommend you head to the port for a great time enlivened by live music and the atmosphere of the district’s bars. Alcudia’s nightlife is not to be missed!
